We have roots outside of Sweden, which makes us empatic when it comes to understanding your needs and concerns as a foreign entrepreneur. We can guide you through the basics of establishing and managing a company in Sweden as well as help you with subtle tax or legal issues. We offer a one-stop-shop for financial services ranging from accounting, taxation, payroll administration with the aim to make it as easy and enjoyable as possible to do business in Sweden.

Digital bookkeeping and annual report

Providing digital bookkeeping services based on Swedish GAAP is our core business activity. The accounting software we use ( Fortnox ) is cloud-based and has an English interface too. Our clients may choose to have access to its different modules based on an elaborate configuration of user rights.

We provide bookkeeping services to all company forms but most of our clients are limited liability companies ( AB ) with a few branches ( Filial ) and private entrepreneurs (EF ) as well as limited partnerships ( KB ). We advise on private tax matters as well however only if it has some corporate connection ( dividends, sale of shares etc ).

Tax returns

We also provide assistance when it comes to filing tax returns with the Swedish Tax Authority or with other similar authorities. In doing so, we file tax returns, VAT, OSS and EU VAT statements and so called ‘special informations on foreign entities ‘.

How cooperation works with us

  • We communicate primarily in email with occasional web meetings. Our reaction time when it comes to e-mails is exceptionally fast as you will experience. It does not happen that your e-mails are unanswered during the weekend or on holidays.
  • Before each assignment, we ensure to map the areas of responsibility = who does what and when
  • We are your tax agent in Sweden and as such, we have access to the company’s digital tax account. In most cases the processes ( tax returns, tax applications etc ) are done digitally in Sweden with a handful of exceptions where physical mails have to be sent.
  • We prefer to have read access to the company’s bank account, CRM system, payment systems ( Paypal, Revolut, Stripe etc ).
  • Our accounting system is cloud-based and our clients may have access to it if they so request. The accounting materials are provided to us electronically and are either stored in the accounting system itself or in a safe Dropbox folder.
  • Accounting is updated monthly or quarterly based on your needs. Should your in-house routines require to do full monthly reconciliations, it is no problem for us either.
  • We remind you of all payment and filing deadlines and communicate with Skatteverket and Bolagsverket in your behalf.

You prefer to do the books in-house?

In the past little more than a decade, we have come across a handful of clients who aimed to do their books themselves, mostly through centralized finance departments. In these cases we can assist you with the following :

  • Accounting norms are different in each country, so we explain to you how to do the books to live up to local standards.
  • We help you scrutinize your bookkeeping so that it meets Swedish standards in all aspects.
  • We help you with the VAT filings and the annual report + annual tax return.
